KOTTAYAM: Rev Thomas K Oommen, the bishop-designate of the Church of South India (CSI), Madhya Kerala diocese, will be formally anointed the 12th supremo of the diocese on March 5. The consecration ceremony will commence at Holy Trinity Cathedral here at 9.30 a.m. on Saturday. The ceremony will be led by CSI moderator Bishop Vasantha Kumar, along with Mar Thoma Syrian Church head Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan and CSI deputy moderator Bishop Devakadaksham.

The bishops of the CSI Communion of Churches will be the co-celebrants. The vesting ceremony will be followed by a public reception. The proposed consecration follows the nod given by the executive committee of the CSI Synod a few days ago to the recommendation of the selection committee earlier to elect Rev Thomas K Oommen.
