KOCHI: The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), led by former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, on Thursday announced the formation of a secular democratic front in Kerala to field candidates in all the 140 constituencies.

He said the LJP would enter into a tie-up with six political outfits in Kerala for the polls.

“The LJP has entered into an alliance with the Kerala Dalit Panthers (KDP), the Republican Party of India (RPI), the Peoples Green Party (PGP), the Left Bahujan Forum (LBF), the Secular National Dravida Party (SNDP), and the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) to form the front on the basis of a common minimum pro - gramme,” he said.

The LJP is demanding reservation in private sector and judiciary.

The common minimum programme highlighted land to the landless working masses, reservation in the private sector, judiciary and reservation for the Dalits, Christians and the Muslims.

Paswan released the front’s manifesto and the list of its 110 candidates.

He said similar tie-ups were being planned in other poll-bound states such as West Bengal and Tamil Nadu.
