Bus stir continues on NH

Express News Service

The strike by the private buses plying on the Palakkad-Thrissur National Highway was total for the second day on Sunday. The Traffic Advisory committee constituted at Vadakkencherry will hold talks with the workers and owners of the private buses on Monday to find a solution.

The buses have been on strike since Saturday protesting the decision making it compulsory for the buses to enter the Vadakkencherry private bus stand. The bus crew said that the condition of the roads were very bad that they could not run the schedule on time during some occasions and therefore were not able to enter the Vadakkencherry stand.

Around 200 buses kept off the roads, including the Thrissur-Govindapuram route buses.
