THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: V S Joy of ‘A’ group has been elected state president of KSU while Rohit of ‘I’ group has been elected vice-president.

The KSU district-wise elections concluded here on Thursday, with ‘A’ group and ‘I’ group winning seven districts each. Among the southern districts, Pathanamthitta was retained by ‘A’ group while ‘I’ group wrested Thiruvananthapuram from ‘A’ group. Kollam went this time to ‘A’ group.

In Thiruvananthapuram, R Sulfiqar was elected the district president with a majority of 194 votes while in Kollam Faizal of ‘A’ group emerged winner with 194 votes majority. In Pathanamthitta, Sony M Jose was elected with a majority of 114 votes.
