The co-ordination committee of motor employees’ federations has announced a 24-hour motor vehicles strike starting July 16 midnight and up to July 17 midnight demanding revision of auto and taxi fares and roll-back of the hiked vehicle insurance premium.
Private bus, autorickshaw, taxi, tourist taxi, tempo, jeep, lorry and mini-lorry employees will participate in the strike.
The co-ordination committee is represented by CITU, AITUC, INTUC, BMS, UTUC, STU, HMS and TUCI.
