CPM trying to derail TP murder probe: Chennithala

Express News Service

The CPM is trying to derail the investigation into the T P Chandrasekharan murder case, said KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala at a press conference here on Sunday.

He said that the visit by 10 CPM MLAs to meet P Mohanan proves the move of the party to derail the case.

He also alleged that the MLAs visited him at a juncture when Mohanan was cooperating with the investigation and the party has challenged court orders by visiting the jail.

Chennithala said that the party leadership has planned the visit of the MLAs to the jail.

He flayed that the CPM has interrupted the investigations from the beginning.

And the investigating team members were also intimidated.

CPM and BJP nexus is working against UDF for the past five years, he said.

The BJP is not commenting against the CPM activities in the state, this proves the alliance.

The BJP should clear its stand on withdrawing the petition filed by K T Jayakrishanan’s mother in the High Court.

The petition was withdrawn during the time of LDF government, following secret agreement reached by the two parties.

He also expressed hope that the development activities in the district will pacify after the Prabhakaran Commission’s visit.

DCC president K Veluthambu, vicepresident P A Ahsraf Ali, KPCC executive committee member Adv P K Shridharan, P Gangadharan Nair and M C Jose were also present.
