Brahmana Sabha meet begins

Competitions in the rectal of Veda Manthras, Lalitha Sahasranamam, Bhagavad Gita Chapter XI and the singing of bhajans marked the first day of the two-day 42nd state conference of the Kerala Brahmana Sabha which began at the Thiruvambady Udupi Sree Krishna temple Auditorium here on Saturday.

 Kerala Brahmana Sabha state president V Ramalingam inaugurated the state conference.

 Kerala Brahmana Sabha state joint-secretary R Suresh, KBS Women’s Wing president K V Saraswathy, KBS former state president P Venkitarama Iyer, general secretary P Anantha Subrahamaniyam, Alappuzha Brahmana Samooham president J Balakrishnan and KBS Youth Wing state president S Naryanan spoke on the occasion.

 The inaugural function was followed by the competitions in the recital of Lalitha Sahasranamam, Bhagavad Gita, singing of bhajans, Manthrocharanam and kolamidal.

 Vasthu consultant Madhu N Potty inaugurated the youth meet in the evening. Youth wing president S Narayanan presided over the function. V Ramalingam, KBS Women’s Wing state secretary Sujini Venkitachalam, KBS state joint-secretary N R Parameswaran and KBS Alappuzha district unit secretary N Narasimhan spoke.

 SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan will inaugurate the KBS delegates’ session on Sunday.
