Customers block mobile Triveni store

Express News Service

A group of irate customers blocked the mobile Triveni store and stopped the sales on Monday, alleging that the prices charged were more than what was notified on the board.

The group blocked the mobile store when it reached Peedikappadi near Kadungallur.

The group said that the price mentioned on the board for one kilogram of sugar was ` 32 while the same is sold at Triveni for ` 38.

Many other items were also sold at higher prices, they said. The Triveni mobile operators said that they were helpless as the concerned department was not giving enough supply to the mobile stores. Many items at the store are acquired from outside, they said.
