Musthafa hits out at Thiruvanchoor

Express News Service

Congress leader and former minister T H Musthafa on Saturday said Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan has become the synonym of inefficiency and should resign immediately.

“If he does not resign, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy should expel him and take charge of the Home Ministry,” he said at a press meet.“Thiruvanchoor has mishandled the solar case. The state has not seen such an incapable Home Minister so far. He lies and later even accepts that. It is high time that he quits the office,” Musthafa said.“Why should he call Pinarayi Vijayan after he called off the Secretariat siege,” he asked.

Musthafa said that Ramesh Chennithala is a megalomaniac and he should resign to rescue the Congress in the coming parliamentary election.

“Ramesh had been serving as the KPCC president for the past nine years. No one has served this long. Chennithala and K Muraleedharan are deliberately trying to ruin unity in the Congress party. The duo has no connection with the ‘I’ group,” he said. Terming the Secretariat siege as an ‘act’ by Pinarayi, he said Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan was excluded from the protest and there were differences of opinion about the protest within the CPM.

‘P C George is like a deranged elephant’

Musthafa said that P C George is like a deranged elephant. “If he is not controlled by K M Mani and his party, Congress workers will have to fire tranquillisers at him. P C George is not Chief Whip, he is ‘Chief Vizhuppu’ (dirty laundry). He should resign if he cannot agree with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. ‘‘
