Actor Mamta Mohandas and businessman husband Prajith Padmanabhan finally parted their ways on Monday. The Ernakulam family court granted divorce to the couple after an eight-month long legal procedure. The decision was taken after Mamta and her husband Prajith, filed a joint petition on January 14, informing the court that they wanted to get separate by mutual consent. However, both the parties were mum regarding the reasons behind the decision. “All procedures are over. I don’t want to elaborate on it, it’s completely personal,” said Mamta.
The couple was being discreet about their relationship, ever since the announcement of their divorce December last year. The actor had earlier said that the reason for parting was a mutual realisation that they are two different types of people who wanted to lead separate lives.
