Private bus stir put off to July 18

Express News Service

The token strikes announced by the All Kerala Bus Operators Co-ordination Committee and All Kerala Bus Operators Confederation on July 9 and 10, respectively, have been postponed to July 18.

According to M S Premkumar, general secretary of the All Kerala Private Bus Operators Association, the two-day strike has been postponed to July 18 considering the opinions and convenience of the other trade unions as well.

The two unions were not in a position to hold the strike together on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Following this, the representatives of the unions fixed a new date convenient for all trade unions, he said.

The bus operators are demanding bus fare revision in view of the frequent diesel price hike.
