Express News Service

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said he would seek the details about the allegations of P C George against the recently resigned financial adviser of Chief Minister, Shaffi Mather. Chief Minister said that Shafi Mathar resigned on personal matters and there is no obscurity in the resignation.  He was talking to the media persons at Tirur.

“Shaffi Mathar did not receive any money from government for his personal journeys. I am not aware of in what situation P C George raised the allegations,” Chief Minister said. He said that nobody can dismantle the unity of UDF and CPM would not succeed in getting some parties from UDF to LDF.

“Government did not lose any money in Solar fraud case. Government would take strict action against the culprits. The state has taken it as criminal case, though, there were 14 such cases during the tenure of LDF government, they registered all as civil cases. It helped to settle the cases in police station itself,” he said.

‘Mather Misused Public Money’

CPI leader and MLA V S Sunil Kumar alleged that Shaffi Mather  had conducted most of the foreign trips with government fund for personal benefits.
