VS' personal staff trio relieved of duty

The three personal staff members of Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan, sacked from the CPM citing anti-party activities last week, have been relieved of duty with effect from May 31.

 The General Administration Department(GAD) issued orders to relieve VS’   Press Secretary K Balakrishnan, Additional Private Secretary V K Sasidharan and Personal Assistant A Suresh of their duty. They have been directed to surrender their identity card with the Home Department.

 It was following the CPM state committee decision and its ratification by the Politburo that the Opposition Leader asked the government to relieve them of their duty.
