Saritha remanded in judicial custody

Express News Service

The Perumbavoor Judicial First Class Magistrate on Thursday remanded Saritha S Nair in judicial custody in a financial fraud case.

She, along with her husband Biju Radhakrishnan alias R B Nair, had duped many people of their money through their illegal company called ‘Team Solar Renewable Energy Solutions’ here.   Saritha was arrested in the case registered by Perumbavoor police for allegedly duping Sajjad of Perumbavoor of Rs 40.5 lakh promising to set up a solar plant and a windmill farm.  Her husband is still absconding.  Ernakulam North police too registered two cases against her for similar fraud, including one where a person lost the Rs 1.35 crore he had invested for a solar plant and windmill farm.

Perumbavoor police said they were in touch with police in Thalassery, Kozhikode, Pathanamthitta and Mallapally where similar cheating cases involving Saritha had been registered.

Saritha and her husband were arrested by Thiruvananthapuram police for a cheating case in 2009.

After being released on bail, they started the company in Kochi.
