The neighbours said the deceased was an alcoholic.

Ullas is the son of Thandasseriyil Sugunabhushan, of Avandur village near Mulankunnathukavu, Thrissur. According to his co-workers, the car was rented out on Wednesday. His colleagues found the body in the car when they went to call him to report for duty in the night shift.

The police said Ullas had been in the car since morning, with the air conditioner switched on and his death could have been caused by inhaling of the poisonous gas emitted by the AC. They added that the possibility of consuming poison could not be ruled out.
