PERINTHALMANNA: The doctors at the EMS Hospital here successfully performed a surgery on Fida Fathima, the girl who was injured after suffering torture from her mother and stepfather. Fida had suffered a major head injury following the assault, and the left side of the girl was paralysed.
The one-and-a-half-year-old girl has been undergoing treatment at the hospital for the past few days. Police have arrested her mother and stepfather in connection with the case. The surgery under Dr A V Jayakrishnan lasted for two-and-a-half hours.
