THRISSUR: Revolutionary Socialist Party central leadership’s direction to the state unit to disassociate itself from Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) has come under strong criticism.

RSP leader and  Minister Shibu Baby John, on Tuesday, said that the central leadership’s direction to the state unit that the party should take steps to rectify its mistake by disassociating itself from UDF in Kerala, before the next party conference which is to be held in April, 2015, was simply unethical and against political morality. It will be construed that the political morality of a section of leaders has dipped greatly if the party disassociates itself from UDF and joins hands with LDF as proposed by a section of leaders from Bengal, he said.  Speaking exclusively to ‘Express’, he said that a lot of things have happened after RSP merged with Revolutionary Socialist Party(B) in the state after it parted ways with LDF.  RSP candidate N Premachandran had been backed by UDF during the recent Lok Sabha elections.
