Crimes on the Rise

ALUVA: Even though development activities are slow in Aluva, a fair number of crime cases has surfaced in recent years. Aluva has become a haven for ganja peddlers, especially those from other states. In recent years, murder and rape cases have risen. When ‘City Express’ contacted Aluva Municipal chairman,

M T Jacob, he admitted that rise in antisocial activities has been reported in town. “Aluva is a place where a large number of people from other districts and states head for each day. With more number of people coming here, the crime cases have also increased. However, we are working with the police for making the town safer for residents,” he said.
