KOCHI:  Former Minister T H Musthafa has been removed from president’s post of the Kerala State Co-operative Rubber Marketing Federation Limited on Friday.

Though sources close to the veteran politician said that it was due to his old-age ailments that Musthafa was removed, political experts said that it was due to the recent issues like calling Rahul Gandhi a ‘joker’ has resulted in the move. Recently, Musthafa was suspended from Congress for calling Rahul Gandhi a “joker” and saying he should be removed if he did not resign in the backdrop of the party’s debacle in the Lok Sabha polls. However, Musthafa, who was the president of the federation for the last 10 years, was included in the new panel. But it was the I group which strongly opposed him being nominated again, sources said.
