CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan said that the issuance of draft notification on Kasturirangan report, without cancelling the notification issued on November 13 , 2013, would be hoodwinking the people of the high ranges.
In a statement issued here, Pinarayi said issuance of the draft notification, without cancelling the earlier notification, would be a mere gimmick by the Central Government.
The Election Commission’s approval for the draft notification, by ruling that the final notification can be issued only after the election process is over, will mean that the decision taken by the new government assuming power will be crucial.
Pinarayi said that November 13 notification would be detrimental to the interests of 25 lakh people living on the high ranges and would affect the state’s economy.
