Staying true to his inimitable style, actor Innocent began his election campaign in the Aluva zone with his characteristic sense of humour.

The CPM-backed independent candidate from the Chalakkudy Lok Sabha seat told the crowd of supporters at the CPM area committee office here that the past one-and-a-half years he spent in the hospital for cancer treatment had taught the value of life and the importance of utilising it to serve people.

He said that he was not seeking to enter politics for fame, which cinema has already accorded him, but to make efforts to serve the people. He  inaugurated the Facebook page of the Aluva CPM mandalam committee during his visit to the office. Area committee secretary V Salim welcomed him when at the party office with CPM district secretariat member T K Mohanan.
