B Sandhya has been selected for this year’s Kunjunni Puraskaram instituted by the Balasahithi Prakashan. The award will be given for Sandhya’s contribution to children’s literature, with works such as ‘Tharattu’, ‘Kattarinte Koottukari’, ‘Balavady’, ‘Ethranalla Ammu’ and ‘Attakkillikkunillae Albuthangal’.
The award comprises a cash prize of `10,000, plaque and citation. The award will be given away on Saturday, which is the birthday of Kunjunni Mash, at a function to be held at TDM Hall. Critic M K Sanu will inaugurate the function. The award will be given away by M Leelavathi.
