Vellappally Stands Firm Over 'Folded Hands' Party Symbol

Express News Service

KOLLAM:  SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan on Saturday said the outfit is determined to get the folded hands symbol for the newly-floated Bharat Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) party. He took a dig at Congress for moving the Election Commission (EC) opposing the folded hand symbol, citing it was similar to Congress’ Palm symbol.

There were many symbols which resembled that of the Left parties. The symbols of CPM and CPI are almost identical, he told reporters here. The BDJS will make its position clear when summoned by the EC, he said. The EC will take a decision on the matter only after hearing BDJS views, he said.
