THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Judicial First Class Magistrate Court Thiruvananthapuram will directly record the statement of Jameela Prakasham MLA on her petition before the court that she was allegedly harassed by ruling front MLAs within the Assembly.

The The Judicial First Class Magistrate Court III directed Jameela Prakasham to appear before the court to depose evidence on May 30.  The complaint was filed against MLAs Dominic Presentation and K Sivadasan Nair for allegedly trying to insult women inside the Assembly on the Budget Day. The court said it will directly record the statement of Jameela Prakasham before making a decision on the investigation.

In the petition, Jameela Prakasham alleged that a case should be filed against the two MLAs. She had also presented a disc containing visuals to support her allegations.

Speaking to ‘Express’, Jameela Prakasham said she first filed the complaint before the Speaker and later before the DGP.

“No action was taken on either the complaints. That is why I decided to approach the court directly,”  she said.
