KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Friday closed further proceedings on a petition filed by former Chief Whip P C George seeking to declare that Finance Minister K M Mani, who is also the chairman of the Kerala Congress(M), is not entitled to hold the portfolio of Minister due to the breach of the constitution of party.
The petitioner counsel submitted that the Election Commission has already issued notice on the representation filed by the petitioner regarding holding duel post.
A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice A M Shaffique recorded the submission and held that further proceedings in the petition is closed without entering into any issues raised by P C George.
