'Replace Kozhipalam Bridge'

Express News Service

KOLLAM:N K Premachandran, the Kollam MP, has submitted a petition before the PWD Minister V K Ibrahim Kunju to replace the existing bridge at Kozhipalam in Peringallur with a new bridge.

A bridge at the location is important as it connects Chadaymangalam and Punalur assembly constituencies and the gram panchayats of Ittiva and Idamulakkal.

The existing bridge is 50 years old and cannot be used for vehicular movement in its present state. Hence, people from Melappur, Manjappara, Thrangodu, Anchal and Ayoor have to take a long detour.
