Virtual Labs Workshop at Amrita Varsity

KOLLAM: Amrita University conducted a national-level Virtual Labs workshop and Nodal Centre Conference for faculty members to access lab experiments remotely in its Amritapuri Campus. The full day conference was attended by delegates from over 70 institutes from across the country, said a release.

The events included hands-on training, demonstration of virtual lab experiments and access to collaborative platforms to monitor student performance in a wide variety of subjects such as molecular biology, microbiology, electricity and magnetism and organic chemistry.

The conference was organised by Amrita’s VALUE (Virtual and Accessible Laboratories Universalizing Education) team.

Creatively integrating state-of-the-art simulation is important to enhance content said Krishnashree Achuthan, principal investigator of the Virtual Labs project at Amrita.
