KOCHI: A 55-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by his neighbour over a petty dispute at Nedungapra in Perumbavur early on Wednesday.
According to police, deceased Narayanan, a resident of Kallidimbil House, Nedumgapra, had an altercation with his neighbour Xavier Varghese alias Baby after the duo had a wayside discussion over politics. In a fit of rage, Baby allegedly pushed and assaulted the victim. The accused is absconding.
Though passersby rushed Narayanan to hospital, he succumbed to the injuries sustained in the assault. The Kuruppampady Police have lodged a murder case against the accused.
