Dileep is likely to file the bail petition before the High Court on Monday. After his arrest, Dileep had filed bail plea before the Angamaly Judicial First Class Magistrate Court through senior advocate K Ramkumar. But it was dismissed on July 15, with the court observing the decision should stand as a strong message that these offences would not be taken lightly.

Soon after this, Dileep approached the High Court (HC) through the same advocate, but it too dismissed the bail plea after an hour-long hearing.Through leading High Court criminal lawyer Pillai, a new bail petition will be filed citing change of circumstances. The High Court had dismissed the bail recording the submission of prosecution that Dileep’s driver Appunni was absconding, and the mobile phone and memory card were yet to be seized. Following the dismissal of anticipatory bail plea, Appunni had appeared before the investigation team and was interrogated for hours. Hence, the main contention will be there was no need to detain Dileep in jail any further.
