TIRUVALLA: The police registered a case against six BJP activists for allegedly blocking a vehicle carrying cattle.

A pick-up van laden with three cows was blocked at Mallappally on Thursday afternoon. The police took the vehicle into custody.

Meanwhile, the activists denied blocking the van and said they only questioned why so many cows were crammed in a small vehicle.  However, the driver Anas, a Changanassery native, told the police some people suspected to be BJP activists blocked his vehicle for transporting cattle.

But BJP district president Ashokan Kulanada said party activists did not interfere in the issue and the fabricated complaint was part of an propaganda against BJP.
