KOZHIKODE: The state RSS leadership on Wednesday said it will continue cooperating with the CPM and the state govenment for peace, especially in the northern districts where law and order is disturbed after recent clashes between the CPM and BJP.

Senior RSS leader Gopalan Kutty Master said "we are committed to maintaining a peaceful atmosphere in the state. But the CPM has been disseminating wrong information to its party activists triggering a wave of protests against the RSS," he said.

He added that chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan should restrain himself from making statements which will further agitate the CPM cadre. He said Vjayan's statement alleging that the attack on the CPM district head quarters in Kozhikode was a plot to kill district secretary P Mohanan will worsen the situation.

"There is no point in branding organisations like Hindu Maha Sena, Ram Sena, Shiv Sena and Hanuman Sena as Sangh organisations. The RSS does not have any links to these organisations and we have repeatedly made it clear. We have also condemned their anti-people and anti-democratic activities," he said.
