THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Coming down heavily on the CPM and a section of the media for triggering a controversy over BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan travelling with Prime Minister Narendra Modi,  BJP national executive member P K Krishnadas said it was a disgrace to the politically elite state of Kerala to kick up a controversy on a non-issue.

“The Prime Minister and the Chief Minister had stated both the state and Centre should work together for the cause of development. But a section of CPM leadership and media were unnecessarily triggering a controversy,” he told reporters on Monday.

“Minister Kadakampally Surendran could have asked the Chief Minister whether Kummanam’s name figured in the list of people who should be allowed in the motorcade of the Prime Minister,” he said.
