Cops to do DNA test to confirm in blood stains in vice principal's room was that of Jishnu Pranoy

Forensic tests on the blood samples detected from the office rooms have indicated that it had similarities to Jishnu's blood.

KOZHIKODE: The team investigating the death of Jishnu Pranoy, an engineering student of Pampadi Nehru Engineering college, Thrissur  collected blood samples of his parents for DNA test on Tuesday. Police decided to conduct the test to confirm whether the blood stains detected at the rooms of the vice principal and the Public Relation Officer were that of Jishnu.

The police team collected blood samples of the Jishnu's father K P Ashokan and mother Mahija and sent to the Government Taluk hospital, Nadapuram for examination.

According to sources, the blood stains detected at the college room were analysed at the Forensic Science Laboratory, Thiruvanathapuram. Forensic tests on the blood samples detected from the office rooms have indicated that it had similarities to Jishnu's blood.
