KOLLAM: In a shocking disclosure, a 16-year-old girl has filed a complaint with the police that she was raped by three persons after they duped her by promising a role in a film. One of the accused is the son of a CPM leader.
Faisal, the son of a CPM member of Nedumpana Panchayath has been arrested in connection with the incident. He has been charged with various sections of the POCSO Act.
According to Kollam East police,the incident happened nine months ago and the girl filed the complaint on March 18. The police suspect the involvement of five other persons, who are absconding.
The girl is said to be associated with an event management team and was also part of some short films.
