Passengers escape with minor injuries after car falls into gorge in Idukki

The incident happened on Thursday morning when the car plunged into a gorge between Pampadumpara and Vattappara when the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve.

IDUKKI: The passengers of a car had an extraordinary tryst with destiny when they escaped with minor injuries after their vehicle fell into a gorge near Pampadumpara near Nedumkandam on Thursday.

The incident happened on Thursday morning when the car heading to Manjeri from Nedumkandam plunged into a gorge between Pampadumpara and Vattappara when the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve. A major accident was averted as the car got stuck in a tree while falling into the gorge.
