THRISSUR: Palarivattom police have arrested Paithadiyil Veedu Viswanathan,42, on Sunday for posting insulting comments against Hanan Hamid.
Viswanathan, who stays in a rented house at Guruvayur, posted insults through his Facebook account named Viswan Cherayi. In his post, he asked whether the college girl was selling fish to buy a new bed.
Pointing out the misogyny, wildlife photographer Seema Suresh had criticised his comments and asked Hanan carry on disregarding the abuse. "It is the police and the court which stand with you during such experiences. That gives us hope," Seema wrote.
