Kerala Congress(M) to rejoin UDF

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  The Kerala Congress(M) is all set to return to the UDF fold. A meeting between KC(M) vice-chairman Jose K Mani and Congress leaders in Delhi on Wednesday discussed the conditions for the return. KPCC president M M Hassan, Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala, former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and IUML national general secretary PK Kunhalikutty participated in the meeting.

Jose K Mani told mediapersons that the discussions were fruitful and a final decision would be taken after Thursday’s meeting. Congress president Rahul Gandhi has already extended an invite to Jose K Mani, along with Kunhalikutty, to a meeting of Congress leaders to discuss the Kerala issues. It is learnt the KC(M) has put forward some conditions, including exchange of some Assembly seats with the Congress and Rajya Sabha seat sharing to rejoin the front.
