KANNUR: After losing the initial momentum and with the infiltration of external forces having caused confusion among the agitators, the much-celebrated resistance of Vayalkkilikal at Keezhattur looks set for a premature ending, much to the dismay of the region’s environmentalists.
The constant pressure applied by the CPM through diplomacy and threats, the unflinching attitude of the LDF Government in implementing development projects at any cost and the failure of the agitators to garner support from the people outside Keezhattur are considered to be the reasons for the fiasco.
