KASARGOD: Central University of Kerala has suspended a post-graduate student for posting an ‘abusive and filthy’ message on Facebook purportedly critical of the vice-chancellor.

In the order dated June 25, Registrar A Radhakrishnan Nair suspended Akhil Thazhath of the Department of International Relations and Political Science “from the rolls of the university” with immediate effect, pending enquiry. It said that Thazhath had used “abusive and filthy words against the vice-chancellor, registrar and hostel warden in a public domain, which is prima facie a serious misconduct unbecoming of a student of this university”.
