THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A day after CPM independent MLA PV Anvar unleashed a blistering attack against him and the Left government, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan dismissed all allegations against the party and the government.

Responding to the media in New Delhi on Friday, Pinarayi also termed Anvar's allegations part of an attempt to tarnish the LDF and the government."However, this in no way will affect the ongoing high level investigation, which will continue without any hindrance", he said.

Vijayan, speaking to reporters in the national capital, said that Anvar, by his remarks, had also made his intention clear that he was keeping away from the Left front.

"He made his intention clear by his statements. He clearly announced he was keeping away from the LDF and will not attend its parliamentary party meeting in the state assembly," the CM said.

Vijayan, however, made it clear that Anvar's remarks would not in any manner affect the ongoing probes and enquiries into the various complaints and allegations made by him.

Virtually ending his association with the ruling LDF, Anvar on Thursday lashed out at Vijayan, accusing him of misleading the public and demanding that he give up the charge of the Home department.

Pinarayi said right when Anvar raised some allegations for the first time there were suspicions about his true intentions. Pinarayi said he would give a detailed response later.

"However, we did not go into that aspect. We took action to inquire into the allegations that he raised as an MLA, by appointing the best investigative team. However, he expressed his displeasure about the inquiry at Thursday's press meet. Now the matter has reached a stage that we suspected. Anvar has raised allegations against the LDF, the government and the CPM. He has also said things that would become a weapon in the hands of LDF's enemies. He has also explained his real intention by saying that he will not attend the CPM's parliamentary party meeting. Also he has made clear that he will not join with the LDF. I will give my reply to his allegations in detail later", CM said.
