‘Infocity-II to be completed in time’

BHUBANESWAR: MINISTER of State for Information Technology Ramesh Chandra Majhi today said development of infrastructure for Infocity-II at Gadakashipur would be completed on time.

 Majhi today visited the Infocity-II project area and reviewed its progress. He  said construction of two-lane road would be completed in the first phase by March, 2011. The district collector and tahasildar, Jatni, will take steps to solve problems over land acquisition.

 The cost for development of outer infrastructure including roads, water supply,  electricity and construction of walls has been estimated at ` 150 crore. This will be provided from the budgetary allocation of the IT department. He said construction work of Infosys on 50 acres of land would start soon. While the special economic zone (SEZ) will be established over 320 acres of land, 180 acres will be used for integrated township.
