BHUBANESWAR: THE Siksha O Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University is exploring mechanisms of partnership with SPECLAB, University of Puerto Rico, San Juan, USA for promoting research collaborations among the two institutes.
The issue was discussed between the institutes with the Director of SPECLAB Prof Ram S Katiyar visiting the university to inaugurate an Advanced Materials Research Laboratory in Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER) here .
The laboratory has been developed under the guidance of former Professor of IIT Kharagpur R.N.P.Choudhary to cater to the needs of Ph.D. research scholars and students of M.Tech in Material Science and Technology, a course to be opened in the institute soon.
The laboratory is equipped with programmable high temperature furnace, LCR meter, hyteresis loop tracer for ferroelectric materials, magnetoelectric coupling measurement system for multiferroelectric materials and a DC polling unit.
