BERHAMPUR: Eights persons were injured in a clash between supporters of Sarpanch and Naib Sarpanch of B.Turubudi panchayat on Wednesday night at Jharipadar village under Digapahandi block. The clash took place over pasting of posters while campaigning.
While police have arrested Naib Sarpanch Prakash Behera and two of his supporters N Biswanath and Babula Reddy, they are silent over the role of Sarpanch Urvasi Reddy. Two separate cases have been registered.
