KORAPUT: A tribal man, Salu Praska, was axed to death by Maoists at Laxmipur in Koraput district on Friday.
Sources said he was trading in liquor in the locality and this is suspected to be reason behind the murder. Maoists have claimed responsibility for Praska’s killing and stated that he continued to trade in liquor despite several warnings.
This is the first such incident in Laxmipur block headquarters. Police have intensified combing operation and a case was registered in Laxmipur police station.
