No smoking, paan in government offices: RDC

Express News Service

Action would be initiated against officers and staff who smoke or chew betel (paan) on government premises, said Revenue Divisional Commissioner (south) Arvind Padhee after assuming office on Thursday.

He also warned the collectors and other officials against leaving the headquarters without permission. While the collector had to seek permission of the RDC, the district officials have to report to the collector.

The collectors have been asked to send the monthly tour programme to the RDC office by the 10th of every month for approval of travelling allowance. Padhee also directed them to send monthly and quarterly progress reports of their districts on a regular basis.
