Miscreants decamp with Rs 15 lakh

Two unidentified motorcycle-borne youths decamped with Rs 15 lakh cash from the entrance of Gaiselet branch of Utkal Gramya Bank on

Monday noon. Police have launched a manhunt to nab the duo.

As per reports, bank cashier S K Das and another employee Manulal Pradhan had brought the cash from Padampur branch of SBI in a car.

When they arrived at the bank entrance, the youths intercepted them and snatched away the bag in which the cash was kept and fled from the scene. Their motorcycle did not have a number plate.

Police later found the two-wheeler abandoned on Padampur road near Buromunda village.
