A non-bailable warrant has been issued against Kantabanji police station IIC Amrita Nandini Mohanty for allegedly misbehaving with the chairperson of the Notified Area Council (NAC).
The Judicial Magistrate First Class, Kantabanji, issued the NBW as neither the IIC not her advocate appeared before the court on the scheduled date.
NAC chairperson Dambarudhar Behera had filed a case in the court stating that the IIC misbehaved with him and forcibly took his vehicle to the police station last July. The IIC had reportedly asked for papers of his vehicle during a checking which he had failed to produce, sources said.
