A man wanted by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with a bank loan scam was arrested, 18 years after he was charged.
Sukadev Sahoo, a native of Tarabha in Balangir, was an accused in a Rs 1.5 lakh loan bungling which the CBI was investigating.
The case dates back to 1986 and Sahoo has been absconding since 1995. A team picked him up from Surat in Gujarat. Earlier, a co-accused in the case, Basudev Praharaj who is field officer of the SBI, was tried and convicted in the same case.
