A Plus-Two science student of Sandilya College here allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday. She ended her life in her hostel room in Dhankauda.
The college has been in news since Devendranath Behera, Chairman of the college, was arrested in connection with the Plus Two question paper leak.
The deceased student identified as Payal Sahu, a resident of Sersuantal under Sambalpur Sadar police limits was appearing the ongoing Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) examination at the Gangadhar Meher college examination centre in Sambalpur.
It is learnt that the girl was caught while indulging in malpractice during Information Technology exam and was subsequently expelled. Later she left for her hostel where she consumed poison.
Although she was rushed to District Headquarter Hosptial, she was pronounced brought dead.
