AP tourists attacked at Puri beach

Increasing number of attacks on tourists on Puri beach and nearby places has become a matter of grave concern. A tourist couple from Andhra Pradesh was manhandled while they were sitting in the garden area of their hotel at the sea beach on Sunday evening.

According to an FIR, Amit Kumar Makhija (40) of Visakhapatnam, his wife Mehek and parents were staying in the hotel, situated close to the beach at Chakratirtha Road. While the couple was sitting at the hotel’s garden area, a group of youths passed lewd comments at Mehek.
